Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding with Denmark to protect the children of Iraq

توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية والسفارة الدنماركية في العراق تقضي بان يقوم الجانب الدنماركي بتقديم الدعم الفني والاستشاري للمساعدة في رسم السياسة الوطنية لحماية الطفل في العراق.

 It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Child Welfare had adopted a draft drawing a comprehensive national policy to protect the child in Iraq after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Danish Embassy in Iraq, requiring that the Danish party to provide technical and advisory support to assist in the formulation of national policy for the protection of children in Iraq.

يذكر ان الدكتورة عبير مهدي الجلبي المديرة الحالية لهيئة رعاية الطفولة كانت مديرة دور الايتام اثناء اكتشاف جريمة دار الحنان للايتام منتصف عام 2007 وتم استدعائها من قبل لجنة برلمانية للتحقيق في الجريمة.

هيئة رعاية الطفولة تناقش اكمال خطوات رسم سياسة حماية الطفل في العراق 

اكدت الدكتورة عبير مهدي الجلبي مدير مكتب هيئة رعاية الطفولة في العراق على اهمية اكمال مشروع سياسة حماية الطفل في العراق .جاء ذلك خلال ترؤسها اجتماعا ضم اعضاء فريق السكرتارية و المنسق المحلي للسفارة الدنماركية في بغداد ,وشددت الدكتورة في كلمتها على ان تكملة مشروع السياسة الذي بدا العمل به خلال العام الماضي قضية مهمة وحساسة لابد من المضي فيها ولابد من مسابقة الزمن وبذل الجهود لتحقيق الاهداف والخطوات التي تم تحديدها  ,واشارت الى ان التقرير الذي اعده اعضاء السكرتارية حول واقع الطفل العراقي وما يعانيه من مشاكل وتحديات سيعرض في حلقة نقاشية تقام بمشاركة عدد من الخبراء والمختصين المعنين بحقوق الطفل من اكاديمين ونشطاء في مجال حقوق الانسان والطفل فضلا عن منظمات المجتمع المدني المختصة بالطفولة مشيرة الى ان الهدف الاساس من عقد هذه الحلقة النقاشية  التي سيحدد موعدها لاحقا هو الخروج بتوصيات يتفق عليها الجميع لتحديد اولويات الظواهر والمشاكل التي تواجه الطفل في العراق والتي تحتاج الى تدخل عاجل وسريع لوضع الحلول والمعالجات المناسبة لها عند رسم السياسة الوطنية لحماية الطفل في العراق.  وناقش المجتمعون الملاحظات التي ابداها المنسق المحلي للسفارة الدنماركية حول التقارير التي اعدها اعضاء فريق السكرتارية لاثنتي عشرة ظاهرة منها : عمل الاطفال, اطفال في خلاف مع القانون , الاطفال ضحايا النزاعات المسلحة , العنف ضد الاطفال , الايتام ....تجدر الاشارة الى ان وزارة العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية وهيئة رعاية الطفولة كانت قد تبنت مشروع رسم سياسة وطنية شاملة لحماية الطفل في العراق بعد توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية والسفارة الدنماركية في العراق تقضي بان يقوم الجانب الدنماركي بتقديم الدعم الفني والاستشاري للمساعدة في رسم السياسة الوطنية لحماية الطفل في العراق.

Children care authority discuss the steps to complete the drawing of the child protection policy in Iraq

     Dr. Abeer Mehdi al Chalabi Director, Office of the Children authority in Iraq, stress on the importance of the completion of the draft Child Protection Policy in Iraq. This came during the chairmanship of a meeting of members of the team secretaries and local coordinator of the Embassy of Denmark in Baghdad, and she stressed in her speech that the complement of the draft policy, which seemed to be a work during the last year is an important issue and sensitive to be proceed and must be competition time and efforts to achieve the goals and the steps that have been identified, and noted that the report prepared by members of the secretariat on the status of Iraqi children and the suffering of the problems and challenges will be in a panel discussion held with the participation of a number of experts and specialists from all stakeholders rights of the child of academics and activists in the field of human rights and children as well as civil society organizations concerned with children, noting that the main objective of holding this seminar which will be scheduled for later is to get out the recommendations agreed upon by everyone to determine the priorities of phenomena and problems facing children in Iraq, which need to intervene urgently and expeditiously to develop appropriate solutions and remedies to them when making national policy for child protection in Iraq. They discussed the observations shown by the local coordinator of the Embassy of Denmark on the reports prepared by the team members the Secretariat for the twelve phenomenon, including: child labor, children in conflict with the law, children victims of armed conflicts, violence against children, orphans . It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Children had adopted a draft drawing a comprehensive national policy for child protection in Iraq, after signing a memorandum of understanding between Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Danish Embassy in Iraq, requiring that the Danish party providing technical and advisory support to assist in the formulation of national policy for child protection in Iraq.
